Topaz (rare ''cat's eye'' stone)

This stone is from an older discovery in Mozambique and is one of the VERY few "cat's eye" Topaz gems that I've seen from the entire country. It's fairly rare to find "cat's eye" Topaz stones from most localities, and a gem like this a superb collector's stone, but it would also make for a great center gem in a piece of jewelry. This is a beautiful "Round Cabochon" cut gem with a soft white hue and a rather sharp "eye" than runs across the stone. The eye is best seen with a strong penlight, but you can clearly see it even in ambient lighting. These stones are hard to find on the market from Mozambique, don't miss out.
