Item Description

Schneckenstein cliff is one of the great classic European mineral localities, as it has been known since the early 1700s. Topaz from here was treasured by mineral collectors when all collectors in Europe were nobility or their associates, and considered one of the hallmarks of a great collection. This outstanding small cabinet has an exceptionally rich coverage of sharp, gem, colorless topaz crystals. The striking chisel-shaped topaz is 1.2 cm across and long prism on the top right is 1.7 cm. Several, RARE for the locale smoky quartz crystals, to about 9 mm, are a super accent to the quartz crystal covered matrix. All of the crystals in the interior are pristine. A very fine and rich old-time classic with rare smoky quartz crystals accessories. From an East Coast collection. Value??
