Item Description

Topaz specimens from this historic German locality are a much sought-after European classic. This a very fine, two-sided combination specimen. A 2.0 cm, gem, yellow, topaz crystal is nicely set on one side amidst quartz on the mounded, banded gneiss matrix. The other side hosts five aesthetically scattered crystals, to 1.3 cm, on a dense field of glassy quartz points. Excellent, old-time material (old label on the bottom) from the Fioravanti Collection and obtained from the University of Naples Mineral Museum in 1978. A top-quality combination specimen from this famous locale. Value today???
