Item Description
An impressive and aesthetic topaz and quartz combination plate from Dassu and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The upper portion of the 4.4 cm topaz crystal is stunningly water-clear and has fine light champagne color. The striking complex termination has lightly frosted termination faces. The different shapes, forms and layout of the glassy, transparent to translucent sharply terminated quartz crystals really adds pizzazz to this excellent piece. The cleavelandite blades and pearlescent muscovite book at the base are additional fine accents. Overall, the piece is in outstanding condition. The trivial periphery wear is certainly a modest detraction and the trivial termination bruising to the lower-left quartz crystal is barely noticeable. Most of the flat back of the quartz is very well crystallized with dense stepped-growth. A high quality combination topaz valued by Herb at $750, more than ten years ago. It is certainly worth more today at $1250-1500.
