Item Description

Pakistan has produced a good number of fine quality sherry colored Topaz crystals over the years, but this one stood out to us because it's on Quartz matrix, which is rarely seen from most Pakistani localities. Dassu for many years has produced some of the finest sherry Topaz crystals from the standpoint of color, size, and gemminess, and the fact that they are found on matrix makes them even more enticing. The crystal on this specimen measures 2.3 cm, and is very sharp and glassy with a light sherry color and excellent internal gemminess, flaring off of a group of well-formed prismatic Quartz crystals. It displays well from a few angles, and it's not terribly common to find these crystals on good crystallized Quartz matrix. You don't see nearly as many of these pieces from Pakistan on the market as compared to a few years ago. A worthwhile gem crystal specimen for any collector. The piece is in excellent condition, though it is contacted on the base where it was removed from the pocket wall. Please note that these crystals can fade to colorless when exposed to sunlight, or possibly any light, so it should be kept out of the light if possible to help retain its color.
Valued at $1,500.
