Item Description
It's not terribly common to mind matrix Topaz specimens, and even when they're available, they're not always very displayable. This piece is a very showy and fine quality small cabinet specimen hosting a fantastic, WATER-CLEAR, virtually colorless prismatic Topaz crystal measuring 2.3 cm, aesthetic sitting on slightly smoky colored, glassy Quartz crystal matrix, with a bit of accenting Muscovite for a nice touch. I love the steep "teeth"-like points on the termination of the Topaz, uncharacteristic for the area, as most of the Topaz crystals you'll see have flat basal terminations. No damage that I can see on the Topaz, and it's so showy! It's a hard piece to properly convey through photos/video, but take my word when I say it's better in person. A wonderful display piece of these well-known Topazes. From the collection of Jelani Daniel.
