Item Description

A great example of the classic Topaz on Orthoclase specimens from the Reinersreuth Quarry in Bavaria. Sharp, lustrous, well-formed, gemmy, silvery colored Topaz crystals with textbook form measuring up to 2.0 cm sit smartly on a blocky beige colored crystal of Orthoclase. Very showy from the display side, and hard to find on the market these days. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4844). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Valued at $950.
