Item Description
Russian topaz specimens are a crystal classic. This old-time, showy and excellent plate is covered with glassy, gemmy, colorless to iron oxide-tinted topaz crystals to 2.6 x 2.2 cm. Most of the crystals have textbook chisel terminations. A bit of periiphery wear is noted, but this remains a very rich and highly representative example of the species and most famous historic locale. Plates of this richness don't reach the market very often. ex George Elling collection. NOTE this was mislabelled as being from the Urals initially.
