Topaz (GEMMY crystal with ''helix'' inclusions)

Sakhan-gyi is famous for its excellent Topaz crystals, which are often quite gemmy and very well-formed. This piece is a unique and desirable example, featuring a very gemmy, colorless prism with sharp, lustrous, well-formed faces on all sides, but what really makes this one special is the fact that there is a "helix" like inclusions (similar to a DNA helix) running through the center of the piece, creating a dazzling effect. I can't remember seeing another Topaz like this from Sakhan-gyi, and if you're a fan of unique gem crystals, this is something I'll be you've never seen from this locality. Specimen weight is 14.13 grams. Valued $1,500.
