Item Description
A classic, gem Topaz crystal with a VERY pale blue color (nearly colorless) from this famous Namibian locale. The very gemmy crystal has a unusual terminations with sharp, very smooth, well-formed faces all around, and great overall internal clarity. The termination is odd becuase one side comes to a sharp defined point, while the other side is modified, giving the crystal an almost "beveled" appearance. You can see what I mean in the first photo. The crystal is not 100% complete as it has a couple of contacts, but it's still big for the locality. It's also clean enough in the center to yield a significant gemstone, although cutting a crystal like this would be a shame. Older material from the 1970s finds. Weighs 89 grams (445 carats!).
