Topaz (GEM) on Albite (ex Tom Campbell Collection)

A fantastic, WATER CLEAR, very sharp, well-formed, prismatic, soft sherry colored Topaz crystal measuring 2.1 cm long is beautifully perched atop snow white bladed Albite matrix to form a very attractive display specimen. No damage that I can see anywhere on the Topaz, and what might appear to be a contact is actually a secondary growth of Topaz with a bit of attached Albite. There is a small separation mark where the Topaz was attached to the pocket wall, but it's on the back, and you can't see it when the piece is display. I have to also stress the superior quality of the Albite on this piece, as it is vitreous and almost "wet looking". Valued at $1,500. From the worldwide collection of Tom Campbell.
