Topaz & Fluorite combo (RARE 2021 find!)

A pocket found in 2021, this is a unique combination ot TOPAZ on FLUORITE ! From a fairly less known locality in China we have a beautiful, bi-colored and color-zoned Fluorite cubes complemented by Topaz crystals on this RARE and stunning combination from a small 2021 find at a small mine near, but not at, the better known Piaotang Mine in Jiangxi. The aesthetically clustered fluorite cubes are dominated by the large 2.7 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm crystal. The satin luster fluorites are water-clear to translucent, have nearly colorless interiors with striking rich teal-blue edge phantoms with some embedded, starkly contrasting white fluorite on crystal faces. The light ice-blue, glassy, translucent Topaz crystals and crystal sections, to 1.6 cm, are attractively set between or adjacent to the Fluorite cubes. The large massive matrix is covered with an unusual, contrasting nubby clay and a couple of scattered Quartz crystals are a nice accessory. Purple LW UV fluorite fluorescence. MINDAT lists three localities in the Xihuashan ore field with topaz reported, but there are NO photographic examples shown. This is, however, a long producing mine that simply produces little material - and it all goes to the markets in Chenzhou, Hunan to sell: So it always gets mislabelled by westerners (and Chinese) as Yaogangxian ! The workings are a producing molybdenite mine, and other nearby mines also produce metallic ores but little in the way of specimens. A TRULY RARE and very showy combination. This is something we have simply not seen at other fluorite localities, beyond the odd eccentric specimen from Namibia perhaps. It is simply intellectually weird and interesting, and also not ugly! Valued?!?!?! We were waiting but no more has come out. It is a significant specimen for what it is.
