Item Description

A beautiful, classic, GEM quality Topaz crystal sitting aesthetically on Smoky Quartz from this famous Namibian locale. Certainly some of the most iconic Topaz crystals ever found, come from this locality. The Topaz crystal on this specimen measures 2.1 cm and has incredibly well-formed, smooth, textbook prism faces with high luster, but it's also doubly-terminated with notable etched formations on each end. The Smoky Quartz is also well-formed, and fairly gemmy, but you need to backlight it to see the internal clarity. There is a small ding on the tip of the Smoky Quartz, but the piece is complete all around. Older material from the 1970s or 1980s finds. Valued $1,750-$2,000.
