Item Description

An attractive thumbnail featuring a few lustrous, orthorhombic, bi-colored prisms of Topaz measuring up to 1.7 cm on matrix. These specimens are perhaps the most well known Topaz specimens from Mexico, due to their easily recognizable form and strong reddish-brown color. A worthwhile specimen of this classic material from the collection of the noted Colorado collector, Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998), one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here ( http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1528 ).
