Item Description

The most classic sherry colored Topaz crystals from the United States are the famous pieces from the Thomas Range in Utah. Aside from Red Beryl, this is one of the most sought after and recognizable minerals from the area. This small miniature specimen features several GEM quality, sherry colored Topaz crystals measuring up to 1.0 cm sitting on rhyolite matrix. The main Topaz crystal has incredibly sharp, highly lustrous faces with the classic modifications along the termination. A beautiful piece of this classic material from the western United States. No major damage that I can see with the naked eye. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1986). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
