Item Description

There are a few mineral species that are instantly associated with the state of Utah. One of those minerals are the gorgeous rich sherry colored Topaz crystals from the Thomas Range in Western Utah. These specimens are some of the most iconic minerals from anywhere in the state. This toenail sized piece features a predominant, fine quality, very sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, classic "sherry" colored Topaz crystal with a few secondary Topaz prisms aesthetically flaring out of attached grey rhyolite matrix. The main Topaz crystal is almost doubly-terminated, but the lower termination has a partial contact. It's still a showy and fine quality example of these celebrated and beautiful specimens.
