Item Description

The classic Topaz crystals which occur in the Thomas Range in Utah are one of the signature minerals from the entire state. Their distinctive habit and color are easily recognizable. This miniature sized piece features a few sharp, lustrous, gemmy, pale sherry colored, prismatic crystals of Topaz measuring up to 2.5 cm long, sitting on typical rhyolite matrix. No real damage I can see with the naked eye, just some interrupted growth where the crystals were grown into the rhyolite. A nice specimen of this quintessential material.
