Topaz (classic material)

Item Description

Topaz from the Thomas Range in Utah is one of the signature minerals from the entire state. This cabinet sized piece features fine, sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, pale sherry colored, prismatic crystals of Topaz measuring up to 8 mm long, sitting on typical rhyolite matrix. One of the crystals is actually doubly-terminated, when you look closely. No real damage I can see with the naked eye, just some interrupted growth where the crystals were grown into the rhyolite. A nice hand-sized display specimen of this highly desirable, classic material.
