Topaz (beautiful color) (ex Gary Weaver Collection)

The wonderful Topaz crystals from the Veronica Mine in the Villa Garcia Municipality of Zacatecas, Mexico are some of the most iconic examples of the species in the world. Their characteristic color along with the occasional association with Opal-AN (formerly "Hyalite" Opal) make for some wonderful specimens. This lovely miniature features many razor-sharp, highly lustrous, prismatic, gemmy crystals of Topaz with smooth flat basal terminations measuring up to 7 mm sitting on BOTH sides of a thin concave piece of Rhyolite matrix. The color within the Topaz crystals ranges from nearly colorless to a soft sherry hue to a rich reddish tone depending on the crystal. Nearly every Topaz is undamaged and very high quality. A really showy and eye-catching example of these wonderful and certainly unusually colored Topaz specimens from Central Mexico. From the collection of Gary Weaver of Prescott, Arizona (1944-2019).
