Topaz

Item Description

A sharp, lustrous, gemmy, very pale blue color, tabular Topaz crystal from Brazil. The piece is complete on the front and on the termination, but there is a separation mark on the back where it detached from the pocket wall. I love the little modifying faces on the termination, which give the crystal character. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
