Item Description
An excellent, old-time topaz crystal from the famous locaility with fine luster and form. The broad, flattop, chisel termination is a classic. This gemmy and lustrous, transparent to translucent crystal is an uncommon for the locale, colorless or "silver" topaz. One face has embedded feldspar and quartz. Complete all around and pristine, except for the contacting at the base. A very fine and rare large topaz from the Maury Morgenstein Collection, an old-time San Diego miner and dealer. 455 grams or 1 pound. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! This was a payment default from an old auction, and so was seen here before on this site. It remains a very good, imperssive piece for what I am sure wil be a reasonable price
