Item Description
Outstanding example of a California Titanite, or almost any Titanite for that matter. The honey-colored crystal ranges from a deep honey towards the center, with a gorgeous light-honey all along the edges. The luster is excellent, and this glassy crystal has such an attractive form, especially with the sharp termination and sidecar Titanite. There is a little bit of wear along the edges, but it does not affect the beauty at all. The lower half is adorned with small white rhombs (Calcite?) and an amorphous white coating, both of which are fluorescent. Formerly in the Edwin Skidmore collection (mid-1900s collector of note). From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey. Note we do not have an exact locality on this piece. It is a shocking location piece but more research must be done.
