Item Description
Sometimes Titanite is referred to as "Sphene" but it should be noted that it's an archaic term, though both are generally accepted in the gem and mineral world. For whatever reason more often than not, mineral people use the word Titanite and gem people use the word "Sphene". One of the great aspects of faceted Titanite is the incredibly high dispersion of the material, showing brilliant flashes in good lighting. This gem is a beautiful golden color, "Pear Brilliant" cut gem with very slight inclusions. This is one of the few Pakistani Titanites that we've had to offer in the auctions from Mulla Ghori, and would make a great addition to any collection, or it could be set into a pendant, but I would not but it in a ring because it's too brittle.
