Item Description
You might see Titanite labeled as "Sphene" in the gem world. It should be noted that while "Sphene" is an archaic term, it is still generally accepted in the gem and mineral world. I've noted that that more often these stones are is referred to as "Sphene" in the gem world and Titanite is often reserved used for crystallized specimens. One of the great aspects of faceted Titanite is the incredibly high dispersion of the material of 0.051 (higher than Diamond at 0.044), so they can show excellent fire. This gem is a beautiful golden-orange color, very slightly included "Trillion Brilliant" cut gem. This is one of the few Pakistani Titanites that we've had to offer in the auctions, and would make a great addition to any collection.
