Item Description

The Gamsberg area Alpine-cleft fissures are known more for rutile, quartz and some gemmy minerals, but the area has also produced some very fine titanites, such as this rare and showy combination miniature. A very nifty, sharp, glassy, translucent, olive-green to olive-brown, low rhombohedral-looking, titanite crystal is aesthetically perched on a splendent hematite plate. Small titanites on the underside of the hematite are a bonus. The titanite is pristine. VERY RARE and excellent Namibian combination material.
