Item Description
Tormiq has produced a great variety of Titanite specimens, in a great range of colors and habits. Some of the varying finds include disc-like, tabular pinkish crystals and steep, honey colored wedge shaped crystals, but the most popular and attractive of all the habits of Titanite from this locality would have to be the green, twinned crystals on Orthoclase (var: Adularia). These are "Alpine-type" Titanite crystals, and the would be worth a great deal to any Alpine collector if there were found in Austria, Italy or Switzerland. This specimen features a very pronounced, sharp, green color, twinned crystal of Titanit sitting atop Orthoclase (var: Adularia) which is coated by "Chlorite". This specimen is a very attractive large miniature / small cabinet and these pieces are some of the most difficult to obtain from Pakistan. The largest Titanite crystal measures 2.0 cm.
