Item Description
This is a USA classic mineral specimen, but they are so rare that most of us never see one: An outstanding and RARE 360-degree small cabinet combination from this obscure Nevada massive magnetite iron ore deposit. An impressive 5.6 cm doubly terminated, textbook, moderately lustrous green titanite crystal is jauntily set on the magnetite matrix and dramatically capped by more magnetite. Euhedral, subhedral and massive etched and corroded magnetite form the matrix. The impressive euhedral magnetite crystal at the crest is 3.1 cm across. All of the magnetite is magnetic, as you would expect. The piece displays well without aid. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. RARE and very fine combination material from the locale.
