Titanite floater (rare locale)

Item Description

High glassy luster on the sculptural, intergrown floater pair of tapered, transparent to translucent titanite crystals with sharp edges. The prisms have fine coloration ranging from rich golden-amber to olive-green. This impressive two-sided piece is essentially pristine, with only very trivial, hard-to-see, edge wear to the smaller crystal. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Anosy titanites are very uncommon and specimens of this quality and size are very rare from this region of Madagascar. Choice material.
