Item Description

Titanite and epidote combinations are uncommon from the well-known Alpine-type deposits at Tormiq. This is an adorable and sculptural miniature. Two, glassy, gemmy/translucent, parallel-growth, yellow-brown, titanite crystals, to 1.3 cm, are aesthetically set upright on the striking, curved, ship shape (it looks like a Chinese junk), matrix of glassy olive-green, epidote crystals and massive epidote. The titanites have tapered razor sharp terminations and are not twinned. The large disk is nearly prisitne, with only very trivial edge wear, which is certainly only a modest detraction. A rare and excellent, two-sided combination from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this beautiful cutie at $500, more than five years ago.
