Item Description
Classic rich green gemmy twinned titanite crystals and chlorite-included titanites are aethetically scattered on the front of the sculptural large two-sided rib from Tormiq. The fine, centrally placed gemmy twin is 1.6 cm and the nearby included twin is 1.8 cm. The titanites rest on sparkly drusy adularia matrix and are finely complemented by the larger adularia crystals on the right side, many of which, are coated and included with chlorite. Chlorite richly covers the back of the piece. A very showy and highly representative large combination example of the species and locale from the David Burgess Collection, who whom Burgessite is named. The piece displays well without aid.
