Item Description

This mine is actually the type locality for a handful of species, is well known for producing some of the brightest and most attractive Tinzenites around. This species is part of the Axinite group, and is actually the only non-Axinite species of the group. This specimen hosts several, bright orange color, layered, "rosette"-esque groups of Tinzenite with good luster and form, which are associated with GEM quality Quartz crystals on matrix. The largest Tinzenite group measures 6 mm across, and is a good represenative piece of this classic material. There are only a handful of localities that produce display quality Tinzenite specimens, (many of which are in Italy), and the pieces from Molinello are prized by collectors.
