Mineral specimens of any variety are very rare from this former borate mine, as the site is now covered by the dump of a nearby open pit mine. This is a striking and most aesthetic, very lightweight jackstraw cluster of white tincalconite pseudomorphing sharp, spearpoint blades of borax. An dramatic and rare two-sided specimen. The frontal display is outstanding, with the secondary crystals on the large blade. Ex Jaime Bird Collection and dates from the 1960s to early 70s. A must for the locality or species collector.
