Item Description
An impressive, pristine, large 5.3 cm, spiky, light brown thomsonite ball is beautifully set on the sculptural, small cabinet matrix of pearlescent, tan stilbite blades. Thomsonite, a Zeolite Group species, is uncommon compared to other species from the Deccan basalt traps of Jalgaon, such as Stilbite, Heulandite, Mesolite and Scolecite. This less well-known locality has probably produced the best examples of the species from Maharashtra and this is an outstanding example. It displays beautifully without aid. Valued at $800. These came out in around 2000-2002.
