Thomsenolite is a rare, complex halide and Ivigtut is the Type Locality. Lustrous, water-clear, prismatic crystals cover the massive matrix of sugary thomsenolite. This is a very rich, showy and highly representative example of the rare species from this famous locale (probably the smaller crystals are ralstonite).
