Item Description

Mineral specimens of any variety are RARE from this obscure Utah mine. Snow-white crusts of thaumasite cover the front and back of this thumbnail and there is also a thin vein running down the center of the matrix. Thaumasite is hydrated calcium sulfate and is related to ettringite. Undoubtably older material, but no proof. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
