Item Description

A classic and rarely seen specimen of multi-crystal Thaumasite from the famous N'Chwaning Mines. This rare sulfate has a strange chemistry as it has carbonate, sulfate and hexahydroxysilicate anions in the same species. This small cabinet specimen features many, pastel-yellow, GEM/gemmy Thaumasite crystals to 1.3 cm on matrix. It is not common to find so many fine quality crystals of this size on matrix, especially considering there is VERY little damage! From and old East Coast collection, and comes with a label from Rocko Minerals valued at $1500, and worth MORE today!
