Item Description

There was a small pocket that produced these Tetrahedrite specimens around 2002, and they are some of the finest quality Tetrahedrite specimens that I have seen from Bolivia. This specimen features several tetrahedrons of Tetrahedrite with VERY sharp faces and extremely highly luster on matrix. The crystals (the largest measuring 7 mm across) have some small tetrahedral "hillocks" covering the faces which makes for a very unique "ripple" effect. Additionally, associated greenish Siderite rhombs can be seen, which measure up to 1.7 cm and have good internal gemminess and an unusual "stepped" growth with good lustrous faces. Overall, the piece is in great condiiion and displays beautifully from several angles. I have not seen another crumb of this material in several years, and it is the last one I have left to offer, so if you've ever wanted one, do not let this one slip away.
