Item Description

A beautiful mounded group of Bournonite coated Tetrahedrite crystals balanced by groups of porcupine needle-like, glassy Quartz crystals to 2 cm in length with a few interspersed Pyrite crystals and a couple what could be Lorandite crystals on a coarsely crystalline Pyrite-Tetrahedrite-Sphalerite matrix from the famous Huaron District of Peru. The mounded Tetrahedrite crystals, averaging 1 cm, are completely covered by 2-4 mm, bright, metallic, scintillating battleship gray Bournonite crystals. Clusters of Quartz needles are concentrated on the right side of the piece and a few are present on the left side, all providing great contrast and contributing to the overall aesthetics of the piece.
