Item Description

A classic and aesthetic combination specimen from the long extinct Park City District of Utah. This classy two-sided piece features a mounded cluster of sharp, moderately lustrous, gun-metal gray, tetrahedral tetrahedrite crystals. A vug in the large crystal on the back is filled with mirror-bright, brass-yellow pyrite pyritohedrons. Complete-all-around on top. Just a tiny bit of bruising is noted to a couple of crystal tips. The periphery wear at the base is noted by the pyrite vug. Seldom seen material from this noted locality and even rarer, as the particular mine is even known. This is a very fine old-time specimen from this district. Ex Claude Yoder Collection.
