Item Description

An attractive small cabinet display specimen featuring fine, sharp, well-formed, defined Enargite crystals, which have been pseudomorphed by Tetrahedrite. The crystals measure to about 1.2 cm, but they are somewhat composite groups, and not just single crystals. They have beautiful form with "built up" faces and a slight bluish iridescence. Fine quality, and certainly attractive for the material, as these pseudomorphs are rarely seen and highly desired by collectors. Hard to photograph and BETTER IN PERSON! The uncommon association makes it all the more enticing. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12274). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
