Item Description

A classic and fairly hard to find Tetrahedrite specimen from the famous Park City area in Utah. This attractive large toenail / small miniature specimen features a predominant 2.4 cm tetrahedral crystal with wonderfully sharp faces, decent luster and classic gun-metal exterior. The crystal is actualy sitting atop a larger (but partial) crystal of Tetrahedrite and is associated with sparkling golden pyritohedra of Pyrite and soft blue-green Chrysocolla. A worthwhile specimen of this classic material from the collection of noted and now deceased Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl (from whom the mineral Aheylite was named).
