Item Description

Casapalca tetrahedrites are a Peruvian classic, especially in association with dolomite crystals. Sharp, highly lustrous, metallic-gray, tetrahedrite crystals to 2.5 cm are strikingly accented by clusters of tan, saddle-shaped, dolomite crystals. The matrix is layered pyrite and quartz. Fine and very showy combination material from the early 1970s heyday at Casapalca. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this piece at $450, five or more years ago.
