Tetrahedrite casted after Engarite w/ Barite (Jaime Bird Coll.)

Item Description

A very nifty and uncommon casted sulfide thumbnail nicely accented with wafers of glassy barite from the well-known mines at Julcani. Sharp, lustrous, slightly iridescent, textbook, tetrahedrite crystals has casted blocky enargite crystals. The back of the large upright cast is hollow and sharpest, most discrete tetrahedrites on found on the "cap" of the piece. Complete all-around and pristine. Choice, aesthetic and rare combination material, probably from the 1970s, and the Jaime Bird Collection.
