Item Description
For the species, this is one of the better specimens of Tephroite I have seen from Wessels, where its occurence is uncommon. On a worldwide basis, the material almost never crystallizes well and any such specimen is a treasure. The brown Tephroites here are in prismatic crystals up to 8 mm long, and many have one good termination. The well-defined pockets of Tephroite are on all sides of this specimen, giving it balance and richness, as well as a reasonably aesthetic appeal. This is a very good miniature for the species.
