Item Description

This is one of the best pieces of Tephroite I have seen from Wessels, where its occurence is uncommon. The brown crystals here have variations in habit and luster, as can be readily seen. The slender prismatic crystal is 1.2 cm long, and the blocky, more lustrous Tephroite is 1.6 x 1.2 x .6 cm. Neither is terminated. Not elegant, this thumbnail is nonetheless a very good specimen for the species.
