Item Description
Binnite is another of the fascinating rarities from this famous deposit. It is the multi-faceted, rounded variety of tennantite, unique to this "Type Locality" deposit. A sharp, lustrous, 4 mm crystal is well-placed on the sugary dolomite matrix along with red realgar, a strand of pyrites and other sulfides. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and acquired in trade with the Bern Museum in 1965.
