Item Description

This is an excellent toenail display specimen featuring a predominant, 1.8 cm, fine sharp, well-formed, modified crystal of steel-black Tennantite with additional smaller Tennantite crystals on matrix. This piece was originally labeled as Tennantite, but now they are labeled as the Tennantite Subgroup, as I can't say for certain which species of Tennantite this is, and it would have to be analyzed to know for certain. These specimens came out for a brief time in the early 1990s, and are now quite rare on the market. Julcani is well-known for producing some excellent sulfide mineral specimens, and this piece is a very nice example of this now hard to find material. Priced at $950 in the inventory. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
