Item Description

Razor sharp, splendent, metallic-gray, tennantite crystals to 1.3 cm are the highlight of this stunning, very fine and uncommon large combination piece from the historic mines at Cavnic. The bubbly, sugary, very sculptural matrix is drusy quartz. Mirror-bright, brass-yellow, pyrite pyritohedrons are festooned on the piece along with scattered clusters of water-clear quartz points. An outstanding, very aesthetic and rare combination specimen from this locale. It displays well without aid. Valued at $750-1000.
