Item Description

An exceptionally fine, rich and rare pseudomorph plate with accessories from the famous and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. Large pseudomorphs, to 3.8 cm, of tennantite after sharp, prismatic azurite crystals cover this sculptural plate. Very modest periphery wear is noted to this essentially pristine and rare piece. A sprinkling of glassy, gem-like, cerussite crystals and a rich dusting of malachite are super accents to this outstanding and very rarely available large pseudomorph specimen from the Wes Parker Collection. Not real colorful, but this is an important pseudo specimen from this historic mine. The crystals are so stout and dramatic, that they were labelled as enargites, even. valued $1250
