Item Description

A rich and unusual two-sided combination rib from this noted locale. Lustrous to matte-finish tennanite epitaxically coats well-placed compound chalcopyrite crystals to 2.3 cm on the quartz crystal rib. You can see the chalcopyrite on some of the crystals and especially on the broken ends. Both sides have rich coverage of crystals. Similar looking Naica material is discussed in Mineralogical Record, V. 3, # 3, 1972. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. A fine, large and rare two-sided specimen.
